Crime record information/Police Clearance Certificate is issued by Vermont Crime Information Center (VCIC), Department of Public Safety, and Vermont. In Vermont, the information is saved via hard copy or digital scanned images and then the information is reviewed. Fingerprints (ink rolled fingerprints) recorded on a standard fingerprint card. In case an individual applies for employment, the agency requires by law to have fingerprint supported record check of the applicant. Then the applicant requires to report Fingerprint Identification Centers. There is applicable fees associated with this process of taking fingerprints.
The applicant should requires to furnish his/her full name, date and place of birth and place and period (of stay) of all residences in Vermont. Applicant must apply with fully completed application form which should be in CAPITAL LETTERS provided by our organization for Police Clearance Certificate. Applicant writes a letter to concerned authority Headquarters stating the requirement of PCC and applicant is authorizing our organization to collect it on applicant’s behalf. Complete set of 10 fingerprint impression taken by a qualified fingerprint officer were obtained. Processing takes approximately 2-3 weeks for PCC. The certificates will be posted to the forwarding address as indicated by the applicant in the application.
