Overview

A police clearance certificate (PCC) is also known as a good conduct certificate. It highlights whether or not you have any criminal records or charges. It is issued by the government or the police agency of the country of your stay before moving abroad for employment, immigration, or study purposes. In Abu Dhabi, this document is issued by the Ministry of Interior

General Directorate for Federal Criminal Police to certify that you were never involved in any criminal activity that led to the Abu Dhabi Police's involvement.

You must provide documentary proof of your stay (more than 6 months) in Abu Dhabi to be eligible to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate. First entry and last exit date STAMP along with a color copy of VISA pages is also required.


Procedure of Getting a Clearance Certificate

To get a PCC you need to complete the application form provided by us with your personal information and provide all the necessary documents. Full sets of fingerprints of both your hands are obtained at our lab on the prescribed fingerprint form. They are certified by our organization's official stamp. The completed form, fingerprint card, and documents are forwarded by us to Abu Dhabi. It may take around 40 working days to complete the application process if there is no criminal record. The certificate of criminal record check is then sent via regular mail.


Documents required for PCC

  • Completed application form (Personal Particulars).
  • A document that confirms the need for the certificate:
  • Application form for Criminal Antecedents clearance certificate.
  • Colored Copy of (both Current and old passports) UAE residence visas, Entry and Exit stamps.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs (without spectacles & caps).
  • Proof of the applicant's current address.
  • A full set of applicant fingerprint impressions taken by a police officer.
  • Colored copy of the UAE identity card of the applicant (if applicable).
  • Period of residence in the UAE and the address where the applicant resided.


Processing Time

The application form and fingerprint card along with all supporting documents are sent via E-mail then courier to KTM. Attested fingerprints are only sent to the Dubai Office. Payment will be done online. Processing time will increase if you are charged by the police.
