The Police
Clearance Certificate details whether or not the applicant has a criminal
record in India and is required as part of the visa process by the
respective high commission or embassy. The National Crime Records Bureau
(NCRB), is a national unit. In India, the criminal record information is
maintained at the National Crime Records Bureau, Indian Police Force. Police
Clearance Certificate is a document that is issued by the National Crime
Records Bureau (NCRB), certifying that the applicant has never partaken in any
criminal activity that led to the involvement of the Indian Police
Force, and is also required when a person applies for an immigration status
to other countries. The person applying for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) are
required to state the period of stay in India. Documentary proof of stay is to
be provided. First Entry and Last Exit date STAMP is also required. All pages
of VISA (Colour Copy).
It is issued to any individual who resides more than 6 months in India.
For foreign national the Police Clearance Certificate needs to be obtained from the District Police at the place of residence in India. Copies of such a certificate may be attested by the High Commission on the production of the original. Applicant must apply with Completed Prescribed Application Form (Personal Particular) provided at our lab for Police Clearance Certificate. Ensure all sections are completed in BLOCK CAPITALS and in black ink, original signatures are required throughout. Documentary prove of legal stay in India is also required for this process. The certificates will be posted to the forwarding address as indicated by the applicants in the application. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) takes 8 to 10 working days to process the application if no criminal record found and after that, they send the certified criminal record check (hard copy) via regular mail. Criminal record information released by the police is dated, numbered, and stamped by a Deputy Commissioner of Police or another police officer of similar status. The document will also contain the signature of the relevant police officer. In case you need it urgently, the (NCRB) can send it to our Organization and then we forward it to you, via courier, at an additional cost.
We will give the original Police Clearance Certificate within 10 working days. The processing time can be up to 1 month if a person was ever charged by the police.
