Overview

The Department of Public Safety, Criminal Records and Identification (R&I) Bureau maintains Alaska Criminal Justice Information maintains the Criminal Records in Alaska. The FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) The division processes these requests. Police Clearance Certificate is a document that is issued by the Department of Public Safety Alaska Bureau of The investigation, certifying that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the US State Police, and is also required when a person applies for an immigration status to other countries. The person applying for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) are required to state the period of stay in Alaska. Documentary proof of stay is to be provided. First Entry and Last Exit date STAMP is also required. All pages of VISA (Colour Copy). It is issued to any individual who resides more than 6 months in Alaska.

The procedure of Getting Police Clearance Certificate

Applicant should apply with Completed “Request for Criminal Justice Information” Application Form (Personal Particular). A set of 10 fingerprint impressions on FD 258 Fingerprint Card will be taken by a qualified fingerprint officer at our Lab and duly attested by Our Organization. The original of the fingerprints must be posted with your completed application form. Applicants with no criminal record, or behavior endangering peace and order or security of the State, will receive a police clearance certificate within two weeks. The certificates will be posted to the forwarding address as indicated by the applicants in the application.

Documents required for Police Clearance Certificate

  1. The application form “Request Criminal Justice Information” certificate containing the information of the applicant
  2. Full set of fingerprints of both the hands obtained from the applicant’s at our lab on FD 258 Fingerprint Card
  3. Self-attested photocopies of your passport
  4. Two recent passport size photographs
  5. Completed Request Criminal Justice Information Application Form (Personal Particular)
  6. A detailed covering letter stating the period of stay in Alaska and need for the said certificate

Processing Time

We will give the original Police Clearance Certificate within 2 weeks. An applicant with no criminal record or behavior endangering peace and order or security of The state will receive a police clearance certificate within 15 working days.
